A familiar face to many of our clients, Una is now based back in her homeland of Northern Ireland. She leads Write’s growth and partnership strategy across Europe — building relationships that create exciting opportunities and long-term partnerships.
Drawing on 20+ years’ experience in communication, training, quality assurance, and assessment, Una loves consulting and collaborating to help businesses better achieve their purpose. She brings curiosity and cultural awareness to every market she works in, and she particularly enjoys hosting regular webinars with professionals from around the world.
A key part of Una’s role is turning Write’s plain-language and AI-enabled writing expertise into opportunities for clients and the business. Our sub-brand AI+Human® supports Una’s strong belief in the power of human insight and expertise. She enjoys helping organisations use AI responsibly and effectively, while preserving the clarity, trust, and quality their audiences expect.
Una began her working life as an Adult Literacy Specialist in 2005. She led apprenticeship programmes in an educationally deprived community in Northern Ireland and earned a reputation for innovative teaching and leadership. Una was then seconded to the Education and Training Inspectorate of Northern Ireland as an Associate Assessor for European programmes.
A lifelong dream led Una to New Zealand, where she worked as a tutor of English for Speakers of Other Languages before joining Write several years ago as a consultant.
Beyond her professional work, Una is a keen storyteller and writes and reflects fun in her Work, Play, Love series on LinkedIn — turning everyday life into stories that explore curiosity, change, and connection. It’s the same storytelling instinct that shapes her approach to communication at Write.
Una has a great way of presenting the material and skills. It was really easy to take on what she is talking about and put it into real life situations. There are a number of new skills and methods I will now use in my work and personal life.
