Write Smarter with AI+Human® — a process to produce high-quality writing without losing quality, meaning, or control.

Most people are already using AI to help with writing. The challenge is getting quality writing that is clear, accurate, and fit for your audience.

In this practical half-day workshop, you’ll learn how to use AI as part of a structured writing process — so you stay in control of the thinking, the quality, and the result.

As with all Write workshops, the content is consistent with both:

• the well-known Write Plain Language Standard
• the international ISO Plain Language Standard 24495.

How this workshop is different

We don’t see AI purely as a shortcut to faster writing.

We show you how to use AI to produce better writing — by combining:

• plain language principles
• structured thinking
• and strong editing skills.

You’ll leave with practical techniques you can apply immediately — and a clear process for writing with AI without losing quality, meaning, or control.

Skills you’ll gain

By the end of this workshop, you will use AI differently. You’ll have gained several important skills.

1. Define the purpose, audience, key message, and desired outcome for your writing before using AI, to support clear and relevant communication.
2. Select where and how AI can best support different stages of the writing process while applying human judgement appropriately.
3. Construct clear, structured prompts using plain language to generate more useful drafts, ideas, and insights.
4. Evaluate and revise AI-generated content for accuracy and clarity so it meets the needs of your audience.

Bring your device and an AI writing tool

You’ll need an account with a generative AI tool, such as ChatGPT, Copilot, or Gemini.

Who this training is for

This workshop is for people who write as part of their work and use AI as a writing assistant. We focus on combining AI with plain language principles, structured thinking, and strong editing to improve your AI-assisted writing process and produce high quality results.

• want training on the mechanics of AI tools, such as creating agents
• want AI to do the writing for you, with little human input or judgement
• are hoping for a shortcut to faster writing rather than a process for better writing.
