You work with specialised, technical, and complex information. We’ll show you how you can get this information across to readers who don’t share your knowledge and expertise.
The technical writing techniques you’ll learn will make it easier for you to:
- assess the difficulty of your information for your readers
- select relevant information and focus on the key messages
- apply plain language principles to get your messages across effectively
- present data visually to help readers understand your content.
Who this training is for
You work with technical content in a specialised professional field, the sciences, or the trades. You might be a subject-matter-expert writing technical reports, product descriptions, processes, or research findings.
You’ll also benefit from the workshop if you:
- develop software or technology
- write or analyse policy
- work in statistics, engineering, or medical fields
- write grant applications for research.
